Who says a lion
can only roar?
Our name takes its inspiration from Siegfried Sassoon’s image of a tiger sniffing a rose. For us, courage and sensitivity belong together: the freedom to try something new, with a feel for people and an openness to different perspectives.
Whispering Lion is a creative studio based in Shanghai. We bring together strategy, storytelling and game design to make ideas something people can experience for themselves.
Originality is part of how we work—from a story’s first premise to the choices, mechanics and details that make an experience its own. We shape the creative direction and work with specialist partners to bring it to life.
Our core team brings more than a decade of experience across culture and education, brand management, marketing, product design and project delivery, with local insight and an international outlook.
A little space for new possibilities
Alongside our work for organizations, we are gradually exploring small tabletop games of our own: thoughtful themes, a little warmth, and new ways of looking at everyday life.
